How It Works

TEAM Tesla  was created and designed by one young man with a dream (Mark Sneddon). He saw a need in our community that was not being filled and was approached by members of the USFIRST organization about putting together a STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, and Mathematics) program that could inspire and drive our youth to new levels. We would invite you to explore our website and JOIN US in the HARDEST FUN YOU WILL EVER HAVE

“Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.”

~Nikola Tesla

Team Tesla is a FIRST Robotics club that started as Newton's brothers in 2010. Over the past 3 seasons our club has grown from 1 FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team to 7 FTC teams, 3 FLL (FIRST LEGO League) teams and 1 FRC (FIRST Robotics Compitition) team. TEAM Tesla sent three of their teams to the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO during the 2012 & 2013 seasons. We are looking forward to another fantastic season for 2013-2014. The addition of three Rookie FTC teams is just the beginning!

Get Involved in FTC

FIRST Tech Challenge is more than a high school robotics program. It is a community focused on building a better world for tomorrow by engaging high school students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). FTC is about teaching students the value of hard work, innovation and creativity. It goes beyond competition by teaching teenagers the importance of working together, sharing ideas and treating each other with respect and dignity.

We PROMOTE FIRST  Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition® (Values created by Woody Flowers). Gracious Professionalism is part of the ethos of FIRST. It's a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. Coopertition® produces innovation. At FIRST, Coopertition is displaying unqualified kindness and respect in the face of fierce competition. Coopertition is founded on the concept and a philosophy that teams can and should help and cooperate with each other even as they compete.
